A particular element is represented by the presence of the dog sacrifice ritual
present at the base of building I (glass workshop) from Tibiscum, right on the spot
where later the glass furnace was built. In Dacian-Getae-world, the dog was considered
protector of the fire hearth found outside or inside the house. A similar discovery,
found in the field of Banat, similar in regard with the dog sacrifice, comes from
Timişoara–Freidorf and dates to the 3
rd
century. In both cases a funerary banquet
followed, attested by the presence of bones and ceramics, etc.
In Roman cult, the fire hearth was under the protection of goddess Vesta
whose acolyte was the dog, making us understand the general ritualic phenomenon
of the ancient world.
Spiritual relation between mountain and field Banat is an important problem
raising issue, not considered accordingly. It is true that discoveries do not sustain
yet such researches.
Epigraphic and archaeological demographic situation revealed for southwestern
Dacia is integrated within the parameters found in Dacia province. Dacian rural
settlements like the one from Criciova or Grădinari, identified only by archaeological
surveys are dated based on inventory, starting from the 3
rd
century. Roman
civilisation character within this area demonstrates the effort to integrate in the
Roman inhabited space, starting with the special interest shown to ensure com-
munication routes along with constructions designed to serve population indwelling.
Ethnic groups settled on the province territory (Norric-Pannonians who, alongside
indigenous populations, Dacian, represented the elements that pushed the economy
under every aspect.
Banat plain area found west of the median wave in

presents two
distinct zones. The first area

partially under province control with striking Roman ellements, imports not only of
goods, jewelry but probably found under Roman spiritual influence penetration,
such as accepting “Charon’s

coin” a currency deposited in funeral inventory;
we can not exclude the possibility of moving to inhumation from cremation ritual
of the local indigenous communities (Celts, Gauls, etc.) We refer in particular to
the findings in Pančevo, Vrsač, etc. Militar anarchy that characterises the middle of
the 3
rd
century will affect the relations between north Danube Dacia and the
empire, leading in only a few decades at the withdrawal of an important number of
auxiliary troups from Dacia, and leaving the defence on the infantery troups
stationed in some fortifications creating a special situation in its defence. From this,
arises the opinion found in Roman historiography, what happened was
amissa
Daciae
, meaning a massive leaving out of the province that occured during emperor
Gallienus. This would explain the lack of auxiliary troups in former Dacia province,
that, after 271 or 274/275, do not appear on the territory of the Roman Empire,
melting literary in the mobile cavalry structure of Gallienus. The mobile Roman
cavalry importance will raise in the decades to follow untill the raise of the Dominion.
Among its leaders, the most majority of emperors that followed were chosen.
In the short period between emperors Gallienus–Aurelianus (268–275) there
was a period of few years, that led to the concrete ideea that the north Danube
